In my career, I embrace opportunities to contribute strategically as a designer while leaning into leadership, mentorship, and collaboration. I’ve shaped processes that are not only effective but also rewarding to be part of, and I’m deeply committed to creating environments where people and projects can thrive. 

Design Principles

Human-Centered + Ethical: I put people at the heart of every decision, combining natural curiosity with a strong ethical compass. I explore possibilities while carefully considering their impact, to ensure solutions are driven by real human needs and benefits.

Strategic + Adaptable: I use frameworks and mental models to bring structure to complex problems, but I also know when to be flexible. I'm good at breaking down big visions into actionable steps that deliver value along the way, helping teams move forward confidently while staying true to the overall strategy.

Insight-Driven + Collaborative: I believe the best solutions come from a deep understanding of both user needs and business context. By grounding decisions in data and collaboratively aligning on insights with cross-functional partners, we establish a shared understanding and clear direction for design.
TEAM LEADERSHIP
Building a team is a lot like designing a product. As both an individual contributor and a manager, I've helped teams grow by scaling our processes, cultivating a strong team culture, and providing the support that enables us to deliver results.

Scaling: While rapidly scaling a design team from 3 to 12 in two months, I fostered a strong collaborative culture within the team to deliver a critical modernization of Amex's global corporate card servicing platform.

Optimizing: I partnered with Design Ops to redesign UX project launches and management, resulting in stronger collaboration, increased efficiency, and improved cross-functional alignment within our hybrid, global organization. This included creating a centralized hub for project information and collaboration widely adopted by the team.

Mentoring: At Amex, I led the development of a peer mentorship and professional development framework and skills matrix used by our 26-person design team to support self-reflection, mentorship, and the advancement of team and organizational design maturity.

Design Quality + Culture: To foster stronger connections and improve design quality within my 24-person design team at HubSpot, I coordinated a rotating "mini-critique" program. This small-group format provided a structured opportunity for peer feedback and review.

My approach to workshop facilitation is grounded in training from AJ&Smart, which has provided me with a strong foundation for driving progress through collaborative sessions. From large-scale strategic alignment sessions with senior leadership to focused team sessions using tools like FigJam, I facilitated sessions designed to build shared understanding and achieve positive outcomes, fostering stronger strategic alignment, generating innovative product ideas, and contributing to a more inclusive organizational culture.
